Keith Silcox scanned and kindly sent me the entire contents of Ed Roth's California Choppers! Up to now, I'd never seen the contents of this magazine. Being a fan of Roth's Oink, I was especially pleased to see these two early photos. This is the first swinging fender/sissy bar combo I can think of.
An Ankh for Oink. This sissy bar was later replaced by a shorter iron cross topped one. The bike was a ridden work in progress. At this point it still featured fat bob tanks plus retained the stock handlebars, forks, headlight nacelle, and front fender. All of which are barely visible.
